And the award goes to...

I can't stop comparing my kids.  I do it all day long and rank them first, second, and third in my head.  So I thought I'd sit down today and jot some of the awards down.  These are all based on the first four weeks of life.

Best Delivery
1. Clark (shortest labor, shortest pushing time, best epidural. my only baby that was induced.)
2. Willa
3. Oliver (wow, is all I can say!!)

Fastest Recovery
1. Oliver (I was up and walking around the next day and felt pretty good)
2. Clark
3. Willa (spent the whole hospital stay in bed except to use the bathroom and shower a couple times)

Biggest Baby
1. Oliver (9 pounds, 12 ounces. 22.25 inches long)
2. Clark (8 pounds, 1 ounce. 20.5 inches long)
3. Willa (7 pounds, 11 ounces)

Most Punctual
1. Clark (2 days late but he was induced so I'm not sure he really wins this award)
2. Willa (4 days late)
3. Oliver (5 days late)

Best Night Time Sleeper
1. Oliver (has already slept 6 hours and goes to bed without crying much)
2. Clark (learned to put himself to sleep pretty early because he couldn't fall asleep nursing because his reflux and tummy pains would wake him right back up)
3. Willa (didn't learn to sleep well at night or put herself to sleep until she was 6 months old and that was only with the binky.  She didn't give up the binky until she was 2 1/2 so she didn't sleep without waking us in the night to help her find her binky until then)

Best Napper
1. Clark
2. Oliver
3. Willa

Best Nurser at Birth
1. Clark (immediately)
2. Oliver (within a couple days)
3. Willa (6 days old)

Happiest Baby
1. Willa
2. Oliver
3. Clark

Best Traveler (loves motion: car seat, swing, chest carrier, stroller)
1. Clark (loved motion so much we took his swing camping with us when he was 2 months old)
2. Oliver
3. Willa (HATED the car seat)

Most Tolerant of Noise
1. Oliver (I guess a 3rd baby has to be or he wouldn't be able to sleep)
2. Clark
3. Willa

Best Rule Abider (back sleeper, no co-sleeping, etc.)
1. Willa
2. Oliver
3. Clark (when you have a fussy baby, all the "rules" go out the window and you try anything to get the crying to stop... even let your brand new baby sleep on his stomach with a blanket on)

Biggest Blow Outs
1. Willa (This girl had a blow out or two a day the first year of her life.  She had so many, as soon as we noticed she was trying to poo, we'd rush her to the changing table and lay her flat on her back)
2. Clark
3. Oliver

First Blow Out
1. Oliver (had a blow out on the elevator on the way out of the hospital so Matt and I had to change him in the back of the van in the parking garage.  Oliver was forced to wear nothing but a diaper home from the hospital)

Stole my Heart the Fastest
1. Oliver
2. Willa
3. Clark

And you can't have a new baby post without some pictures...

I do have pictures in between hours old and 4 weeks old.  We were busy, busy those four weeks with visitors, exploring Albuquerque and a trip to Utah.  Hopefully I'll blog about those adventures soon.
