floating the Missouri and the Dearborn

I think we are going to spend a lot of time this summer rafting.  Matt bought a 14' raft a couple weeks ago and we've used it both weekends already.  Matt, the kids, and I floated down the Missouri River the first weekend.

The weather was perfect.  The river was cold and clear.  It was a gorgeous day to float.  It was the first time we rafted with our kids.  They enjoyed it but were also a little crazy to have on board.  They talked non-stop and climbed all over.  Matt eventually tied his net to the boat and Willa and Clark hung over the side catching anything that floated by.  They loved that and it kept them busy so Matt and I could cuddle Oliver and finally relax.

The next weekend, Matt and two of his friends floated the Dearborn River.

He was gone from 7 am to 7 pm.  They stopped along the way to fly fish.  Montana is full of gorgeous rivers.  I'm looking forward to floating more of them this summer!
